I’m personally of the belief that the meaning/teachings of scripture are more important than it’s literal truth. as such I no longer worry about reconciling Genesis with science, for I see doing such as pointless. But what message can we gain from Genesis 1? In the past I have tried to see an environmentalist message in the cosmic temple imagery.
