At BioLogos, "gracious dialogue" means demonstrating the grace of Christ as we dialogue together about the tough issues of science and faith. Whatever your stance on evolution and Christian faith, we welcome your gracious, thoughtful contribution. The Church desperately needs to learn how to discuss these important issues with charity and humility. We hope it can begin here.
"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."
-Focusing on a commenter's arguments, rather than an assessment of their character
-Contributing thoughts to the topic at hand, rather than veering discussion off-topic
-Assuming legitimate Christian faith on the part of other commenters, unless they identify otherwise
-Showing eagerness to learn from perspectives of others, rather than simply reminding others of the rightness of your own position.

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.
The topics discussed here matter to us, and we want you to act as if they matter to you, too. Be respectful of the topics and the people discussing them, even if you disagree with some of what is being said.
One way to improve the discussion is by discovering ones that are already happening. Please spend some time browsing the topics here before replying or starting your own, and you’ll have a better chance of meeting others who share your interests.
Spam is defined broadly as any post that is advertising something rather than contributing to the conversation. The most obvious form of spam is a link to a business or other non-related website, which will be immediately deleted. But, for the purposes of this Forum, spam can also mean any posts which are essentially "manifestos", rather than conversations. Posts that do not constructively contribute to the conversation will be removed, and posters who show a repeated tendency to "grandstand" rather than interact with others will be warned and suspended, if needed, at the discretion of the moderators. Again, this is a place for dialogue. Spam and dialogue don't mix.
