Ironically, one difference between flat earth and young earth is that the earth does look flat, but it looks old.

- And I might add, according to Nicole Oresme, it could be moving, but he stuck with the Church and said it wasn’t. That was in his Book titled Le livre du ciel et du monde (The Book of the Heavens and the Earth) was a commentary and translation of Aristotle’s work, which discussed whether the Earth might rotate on its axis.
If you think the Earth is flat then you are only off by a tiny percentage because the curvature of the Earth is pretty small over a given distance. In contrast, YEC is off by orders of magnitude.
