youyr statement there is self defeating…“old testament prophets”…i already referred to the Berean Jews testing Pauls writings against the scriptures (which were obviously OLD TESTAMENT scriptures)!
given the Bereans obviously accepted Pauls statements, that means what Paul said aligned with Old Testament Scripture!
You are trying to infer that Abraham was not saved by faith…and that this is support for the notion that Israelites were saved by works and the law…that is 100%wrong.
further evidence that righteous by faith was an Old Testament belief…read the bronze serpent in the wilderness story in Numbers 21 and note the apostle John refers to it in John 3
14 “Just as Mosesag lifted up the snake in the wilderness,ah so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 so that everyone who believes in him mayF have eternal life.a
Your belief is so covninced of the metaphorical only value of Old Testament writings of Moses, and yet here you are seemingy conflicting with/denying your own belief in the metaphorical application there! It would be easier to deny if you took his writings literally…because at least then it would seemingly only apply to Israelites at that time. However, even then, given the apostle John says no…then you have a huge dilemma there.
my theology isnt in conflict with the apostles…the apostle John supports my theology and is exactly why i reference him so often (also because he was the last living disciple and apostle…so his writings are the final recorded authority on the subjects of the new testament)
