Yep, start ‘em early! Go outside a lot, camp in nature. Explain everything you can, and learn it yourself. As a young and now quite old ecologist, I did so with my kids and now grandkids. Our sons are now professors in cosmology and ecology at my alma mater (proud), and have deep faith fused with their love of science. [Westmont College grads both, with Stanford and Sac State later]
