Thanks…very helpful…I also looked at some generic sites and see that proteins are part of lots of viruses. I think the conversation I had elsewhere was with someone who thought that the “protein” aspect of the COVID19 was something peculiar to this particular disease and thus troubling…At any rate, I enjoyed the article and the diagrams!!
“One of her insane relatives” ---- a lot of people are a bit insane on this, Christy. I got a call from someone who was furious about the COVID event closing churches and then ended her screed by insisting that Oswald did not kill Kennedy ----all this in the same breath. It may be the uncertainty that all this causes. But we should now, at least, be able to be more empathetic with our ancestors who blamed the Black Death (or fill in the blank) on witchcraft, the Evil Eye … and then bought into any number of cures—bloodletting for some illnesses, for example. If the disease did not kill you, the bloodletting might…That is: it is not the uneducated, uninfomed superstitious, unevolved humans of the past…it’s just the way we handle the unknown (and the things we cannot control) in our lives–the things that upset all our plans and derail dreams or careers, or weekend vacations… …and I think Lockdowns and Sheltering unhinged a certain segment of people…
