We have had some discussions on the forum as to whether the population of Georgia (USA) might be approaching herd immunity. Unfortunately, it seems that the hope for immunity has not materialized; the COVID-19 crisis has been deepening in Georgia over the past month (as it has almost everywhere in the United States). Cases started increasing at the beginning of October; 10 days later, hospitalizations started increasing; and two weeks after that, deaths started increasing. Since hospitalizations lag cases and deaths lag hospitalizations, it seems that things will get worse before they get better.
We have friends on this forum who are citizens of the Peach State (I hope you and yours are staying safe, @03Cobra!). My daughter lives in Georgia, so I am always hoping for the best there.
The following graphs of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths have been published by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution at https://www.ajc.com/news/coronavirus-georgia-covid-dashboard/jvoLBozRtBSVSNQDDAuZxH/
