I figured the last thread I made on this subject got derailed to the point of no return. I tried to put it back on track, but I tried in vain. So I decided to start again. This thread is for discussion of exaltation of Yahweh using pagan imagery, and related subjects. If the riddler shows up, ignore him, don’t even reply to him, I would flag his posts, but I believe in free speech, I only flag posts when they become offensive.

So here is an interesting scholarly article I discovered. It shows that Moses’ contest with the wizards and the ten plagues of Egypt were intended to be polemical against Egyptian religion:
