We often see criticisms and misuse of radiocarbon dating in the young-old earth debates, and I ran across this article that not only explains some of the advances in radiocarbon dating but goes on to show how scientists use that dating and recognize its limitations and error bars in their research. Admittedly, some of it is too technical for me, but still I could get enough out of it to be intrigued. How can we do a better job of communicating the accuracy, reliability, and limitations of the tools used by science?
