I love the clam argument because I’ve watched a flood surge cross an estuary and noted something relevant: floods don’t carry clams up steep slopes.
That’s the best explanation of fact / theory / hypothesis / law I’ve ever heard!
A tsunami can, but it doesn’t leave unsorted deposits with clams in life position and intact fragile specimens.
