@Scott_K If you find personal testimonies of other Christians’ struggles with origins helpful, you might enjoy the book “Nazarenes Exploring Evolution” (62 short essays) and/or the book “Christians and Evolution” (18 longer essays).

The book, “Paradigms on Pilgrimage” presents a great testimony of two people who grew up in creationist circles and who eventually rejected creationism in favor of theistic evolution. One is a paleontologist and he talks about the scientific evidence that lead to the demise of his creationist views and the other is a Biblical scholar who came to reject creationism on the basis of a proper reading of the Bible. It’s very informative, well written, and interesting.
