A PhD and wisdom

@Paulm12 , congratulations on your hard work. I thought (briefly) of doing a PhD with organic chemistry related studies, but am so glad I didn’t. I’m an MD in family medicine–MD is, as @jpm wrote, much more technical than research–especially in primary care. I admire your work!

Yes. As an outlier, I think my uncle’s PHD took something like 8 years, because of having to change projects twice (once because of problems with the mentor, once because of a deterioration in US-China relations, I think it was).

I guess i’m not fully understanding the faith & science intersection here, but I’ve unlisted this conversation, but please continue to take part!
