I found this article by an author who was attacked for no apparent reason, on all sides by public, interesting. I wonder if it offers insights into why we are so critical of those in power, such as Dr Fauci; or even others on the Internet. It’s good to self examine. I was also impressed by the way she approached those who were unkind to her.

How awful. I’ve certainly witnessed many instances of gratuitous cruelty on atheist forums, most of it directed at believers of course but enough to spare some on sympathizers too. Not all of them and not everyone at any of them. But enough that it became pointless. I’ve certainly witnessed the same at some Christian websites but thankfully never here. What is it about the anonymity of the internet that draws so much meanness from people who surely are not always that way in public?
