Im a little further along than that

The thought behind it was not so much that we were not created by a God but more so that we may have been created by a God who is not all knowing, one that has to learn and grow so to speak. Though it is rather difficult for me to picture an all knowing creator.

Spot on! Have you read or viewed Neil Shubin’s “Your Inner Fish”?

Started it but as Id already taken an upper division course in
comparative vertebrate anatomy it was nothing new to me.

In humans, where it’s a vestigial structure. But it probably had function somewhere down the line of evolutionary history.
