What's Your View on the Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah?

The Bible can only be ultimately validated, in any regard, by a fossil of Love, found via it. Or Love shows up and invokes a word of it, and Dawkins and Harris and Hossenfelder and Carroll all bow the knee with the rest of us.

When was the last time you had a conversation with a spiritual body? Never you say? Then any thing you think you know doesn’t apply. And given the Bible doesn’t give us much information on the subject we will just all have to wait and see what happens.

The portions of the Bible that are actually falsified by science are the parts that aren’t important for the message the Bible is trying to convey. So it is certainly NOT the “majority” that is falsified. The actual message comes through loud and clear even when the interpretation of the text is adjusted by what we know about the real world.

A big part of the message and no science needed.

Everything else is secondary at best. That’s a keeper regardless. That’s the pivot in human history. We haven’t realised it yet.

So you feel free to rebuke St. Paul?!?

So Genesis 1 is fiction – got it.

So why do you insist on doing theology by science, as your post does?

Nonsense.

YECists are too busy throwing away the Bible’s theology to stop and consider the actual message.

If this is a discussion of whether all of Christianity is valid or not, this repeats the error frequently occuring at PeacefulScience.org .

In my opinion, God-guided Evolution is a fundamental position of BioLogos. So arguing AGAINST any role of the divine is a waste of bandwidth.

It isn’t. It’s an exchange between St. Roymond, an evolution-friendly Christian, and Adam Edgar, a committed anti-evolution Seventh Day Adventist.

Just as long as they love one another.
