Since, on your view, physical generation cannot produce the immaterial rational soul, but the rational soul is nevertheless the form of the human body, do you understand God’s immediate creation of each soul as an act “beyond that normal order” in the sense you describe here?
Or is the immediate creation of rational souls itself part of the normal order by which God ordinarily brings human persons into existence?
Or would you formulate the relation differently?
I am asking because I would like to understand your own causal architecture before comparing it with mine.
