What about psychopaths?

You say it is the faith of Jesus that saves us and you are correct. So, unless we have the same faith that Jesus had we will not be saved. What was the faith of Jesus like?

First and foremost, He loved the Father above all. There was no one or nothing that He loved more than God. (We need to have that same love.)

He loved the Word of God. He trusted and believed the Word of God and obeyed Him. (Do we truly trust the Word’s of God?)

He loved the scriptures. He obeyed the scriptures. He believed the scriptures. (Do we fill our hearts and minds with the scriptures? Do we trust them? Do we obey?)

He believed the prophecies. He understood that Isaiah 53 was about Him. He trusted that the Father would raise Him up from the dead and He would be with the Father. (Are the prophecies of Jesus of immeasurable value to us, do we believe them.)

He knew He was the King. (Do we know and obey Him as our King, the Lord of Heaven and earth?)

He loved His neighbor and laid His life down for His neighbor. He loved His enemies. (We should desire and do the same.)

He knew He was the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. ( Do we have the same knowing as Jesus did? No other way to the Father except through trust in, love for and submission to Jesus.)

This is only a few characteristics of what Jesus’s faith included. So yes, we are saved by the faith of Jesus, the same faith that He has, all that it consists of. If we believe He is Lord than we will trust what He says and believe Him and obey Him as He loved, trusted and obeyed the Father. Faith without works is dead. True faith causes a person to willingly and lovingly submit to the Father and the Son. Without this true faith a person will be cast out into outer darkness were there will be…………

Jesus’s faith in the Father lead Him to the cross and raised Him from the dead and seated Him on the Father’s throne with the Father. It is only this same faith that will deliver us from sin and the wrath of the Lamb. This same faith will lead us to the cross and raise us up from death and will bring us into the Heavenly Kingdom. It is only having the same faith as Jesus that will cause us to be born again, recreated in Christ, new creations in Him. Just as Jesus, those who endure, persist, continue, remain faithful to the end will be saved. This is what Jesus’s faith was like.

Jesus said at different times to people who trusted Him, “your faith has saved you”. He commended people for their faith (trust) in Him and was astounded when they did not believe Him. We are told to put our trust and hope in the cross of Christ and to believe His word. Those who don’t put their trust in Jesus will not be safe from God’s wrath and judgment. “Vengeance is mine says the Lord.”

It is a man’s faith in the Father and in what the Son has done on the cross that will save them. The cross is the Father’s work but it is only by trusting in it that a man will be made safe. We are commanded to repent (turn) and believe (have faith in) the good news. True faith in the cross of Christ and a whole hearted acknowledgement and submission to Jesus will deliver a person into safety, without that, there is no safe place.

Rom 10:8-13 The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

It appears this thread has run its course and is veering off, so will close.
