Our kids can teach us so kuch about biblical insights…
Joseph was trained by God in the lowest of the low…sent into.slavery, rose to the head of potipjars hoisehold only to be wromgly accused, semt to prison…he was forgotten, tested for more than 2 years languishing in that place…however God never left his side amd in the end he went on to rise and lead as the second in charge of all of Egypt
Like Joseph, Christ was tested in the wilderness before he went on to teach others the gospel
The book.of Hebrews says …for we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathise with us, but we have one who was tempted in every way but did not sin.
Congratulations on your daughter’s graduation! Having two daughters myself, I remember that milestone fondly, though a bit bittersweet as they enter life as adults.
But take heart, as knowing my daughters as adults has been one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I am sure it will be one of yours as well.
The story of Joseph is complex, as are the stories of most of the people we are told of in the Bible. One one hand, he saved his family and Egypt from starvation, while on the other hand, he ultimately led them into slavery, selling them the grain he originally took from them for their land and their lives. Even his family ultimately passed into slavery as they traded the promised land for the ease and influence Joseph provided in Egypt. You don’t hear many sermons preached from Genesis 47:13-25.
