SULI is a 10- to 16-week summer or semester-long internship program for college sophomores, juniors, or seniors majoring in STEM fields or science policy. Selected students perform research under the guidance of scientists or engineers on projects supporting DOE missions.

The Faraday Institute for Science and Religion are seeking enthusiastic, creative, motivated, and appropriately qualified individuals to cover a period of maternity leave in our Youth and Schools Programme. These two positions will support the programme’s work in schools, churches and resource creation, as well as the Faraday Institute’s wider national and international reputation for excellence in communicating about ‘Big Questions’ of science and faith with young people.

  • The positions we are looking to fill are Events Assistant (0.5 FTE) and Resource Design Assistant (0.5 FTE) for 9 months in the first instance.

  • Three days per week (22.5 hours) – with the potential for increased hours in the future
  • Hybrid remote – one day per week (currently Tuesdays) at the Climate Stewards office near Frome, Somerset; remaining days worked from home
  • Salary £28,000 to £32,900 pro rata (based on a 37.5-hour week) depending on skills and experience
