I prefer the usual definition of liturgy. Otherwise, what is not a liturgy?
I love the beautiful liturgies we have in church, and most of them are sung. My very favorite is the ancient Easter proclamation, the Exsultet, sung during the great vigil of Easter on Holy Saturday. It was probably written between the 5th and 7th centuries.
