To give birth to a finite, temporal (time-bounded), material universe requires something that is “larger” in each of those dimensions.

Since our universe is finite then there can be something larger than our universe that is still finite.

Clouds are finite in size and they have a beginning. Does this mean Earth’s atmosphere has to be infinitely large and eternal in order to produce clouds?

I think the assumption among multiverse theorists is that it would also not be of the type of matter with which we are familiar (which only works here because of the laws within our universe). I like the word “immaterial” (partly because it irritates atheists, I confess) and I’ll entertain alternatives, but please don’t just deny it all.

It just sounds like word games. You are more focused on what you call things than their actual properties.
