Response to "Mass Vaccination in a Pandemic- Benefits versus Risks: Interview wiht Geert Vanden Bossche

I’m certainly willing to explore many perspectives &, I’m sure, have taken advantage of medications that were a result of industry-funded research at times. I’ve detailed some of my experiences with medications on here- both good and bad, and have also shared that I wouldn’t know my father if not for chemotherapy. I can also admit my own bias that comes from negative personal experiences, the experiences of those I know and the fact that the US pays almost double in healthcare costs as compared to other developed countries and has the worst outcomes. Nothing is black and white- our world is shades of gray & the true and best ways are usually in the middle somewhere. I have a sister who rejects absolutely everything “modern” when it comes to healthcare. I think she’s sorely in need of more nuance in her life. Am I biased toward a more holistic approach than what our healthcare system typically offers? Definitely. Am I skeptical of industry-funded research? Yes. But I don’t think it’s all false or corrupt either.
