Rauser: Why Does God Allow Animal Suffering?

I found this very kind and respectful conversation (about 1.5 hours long!) taught me much about animal suffering. Randal Rauser discusses (and frequently agrees with) a kindly, vegetarian atheist about Darwin’s dilemma on parasitic wasps, how YEC interpretation of the Bible could accommodate sharks becoming carnivores, and the Cartesian/ William Lane Craig question of whether animals suffer or not.

If you have time to listen to it, such as on a jog or drive, I’d like to hear your thoughts on this.

I haven’t watched it yet, but my belief has always been that God may have a plan for animals as well as humans, and he wants them to grow and develop too.
