I go to a counselor every now and then. I have refused medication. I have seen what the pills done first hand to close to me people. God is absent even at that

It seems that regardless what Paul says here, some people in the body cannot recognize other parts of the body as part of the same body. They confuse the call to be a part of the body with a call to be the same part of the body they areā¦ ācome be an I eye and you will see as I do.ā
Hi Nick, I donāt want to tire you or discourage you. I want to try to paint a word image so you will see the same two father images I have in mind, to see the contrast. Many people make a profession of faith on a decision to be a Christian, yet do not know God. If you have heard many people speak this way to you, it may be that God Himself, is putting that message on their hearts for you, There IS a difference between Heavenly Father and Earthly Father, not in that the parent-child relationship is different in authority. Either way, we donāt TELL our Fathers what to do. 1. We may, respectfully ASK them; otherwise, they tell US, what to do and we obey. 2. However, the Earthly Father-child is usually automatic. Daddy brings YOU into His life. It is the opposite with God. Just choosing Christianity, does not give us a relationship with God. Even after professing Christ, we must personally, develop a relationship with God, by inviting him into our lives. We individually, need to make God feel at home, talking with us as we get to know him. Just because we belong to him does not mean we KNOW him. Does a soldier know his commanding officer just because he joined his outfit and serves under him? I donāt think so. As Christians, we have a Commanding Officer who loves us, and wants to get to know each of us individually, and is ready to accept OUR INVITATIONS to come in to our hearts, to live, to talk, to understand, to assure, to comfort, explain, repair or do any house-keeping tasks that need to be done in our hearts. Our Birth father opened the door, ans brought us into HIS house. We need to open the door and bring out HEAVENLY father into OUR house (our hearts). No one knows God just because he has become a Christian. Becoming a Christian is a necessity before one can begin to know God. Jesus in the Way to God. God is overflowing with love for you; he longs to immerse you in his compassion, and mercy, wrap His Comforter around you and lift you up out of that dark place where it seems the gloom will never lift, and hope will never come. Godās heart aches to be all you will ever need, but he can only do it if you embrace him, joyfully, as Heavenly Daddy. He wants a relationship with youā¦ Please tell your Abba (āDaddyā): āThank you,. Abba, for loving me and sending Jesus for my salvation. Help me love you more, and help me fine victory over depression, through Jesus.ā. He did for me. Bi-polar disorder was not a diagnosis in 1959, but in retrospect, that was when my battle with depression first began. In 1969 my diagnosis was Major Depression, but bi-polar disorder still was not a diagnosis yet. With God helping, the best combination of neurochemical mood-stabilizers can be prescribed, to be able to think positively. Then staying close to God, Listening for the voice of the Shepherd, He will use His own Word to teach you remarkable things to cultivate the fruit of the Spirit. THESE will help you regulate your OWN mood/neurotransmitter/psych-chem balance., while you also take the best combination psychotropic meds your psychiatrist can work out with you, as you articulate your moods, thoughts, pace of life etc. Many patients are poorly medicated because they do not tell the doctor what he needs to know to monitor and adjust medsā¦ It works for me. I could write 100 volumes on the bleakness in the pit of despair where I used to live, even after years in Christian ministry. Sometimes medication is a necessity. What about the prayers people done for me? Are they answered? If not then i feel like its something wrong with me? I really feel guilty for something right now. Maybe i failed God and the people praying for me ? I dont knowā¦
The next step actually IS up to you. What you feel is not guilt; it is called conviction. It is the result of peopleās prayers. Nothing can happen now until YOU pray - the prayer of telling God you you want to know Him Personally. Actually, Jesus is the one you want to know. Jesus said - to everyone He came to Earth for āBehold, I stand at the door and knock. Who will invite me in to dine with him?ā You see, just because we profess the ideals of Christianity as opposed to Hinduism for example, does not mean we KNOW God. Jesus wants us to literally ASK Jesus to live in our heart and life, and take them over, so that His ways become our ways; His precepts become our precepts. The asking needs to be done literally; verbally - an act of will in real time. At the same time, it is a commitment and a decision, to know that living by our personal human - selfish - precepts and ways is the wrong way to go; His are the right ones. It means giving up our old way of life, and embracing a new one, with Him in charge. For example, giving up our reluctance to take psychotropic medication and admit we have a mental illness (depression)ā¦ Forget about ignorant people who donāt understand brain chemistry and therefore find fault people afflicted with such a disorder, or patients who donāt understand their role in making certain the doctor aware of how a med affects him, and thus are not given appropriate combination of meds. God is on your side; that is why he has put it on the hearts of so many people to pray for you. The first goal of their prayers as far as God is concerned, is to get YOU to pray; to accept Jesusā personal love for YOU. He wants you to give up trying to be in control of your own life, and let Him manage it, because he loves you so much, He wants you to receive the benefit of His miracle working power, but He only gives it to those who COME to Him, not everyone who needs it. We MUST come to Him, and give Him control of our life, to do what He says needs to be done. We canāt go to a doctor and say āSomethingās wrong, I want you to fix it, but here is a list of things you canāt do.ā. Even more so, Jesus. so, now it is your turn to pray. Tell Jesus you want to know Him exactly as He is; follow Him; ghive up your own way - admit it didnāt work, Jesusā way for WILL work. One day at a time. Things will change. He will lead you to new people, people who know Him as He really is. Loving, Merciful, Holy, Righteous- and eager to fulfill our joy. Because He loved us before we loved Him.
