Every time someone brings up Paul and Adam… and Original Sin…
I recite a short free-style prayer to myself… it approximates this …
I pray to God the Romans will find the grace that the Eastern Orthodox communion has known for centuries… that what we got from Adam was our physical bodies, and what we got from God was our souls.
I pray that somebody comes up with a new denominational slogan that will catch on - - something like “Original Sin” … it’s a story we tell our Children.
If Paul thinks women should keep silent in the congregation … maybe he got his ideas about Adam from the same place…
