So at some point in time in the last year or two I was listening to a podcast that was touching up on how one claim against the New Testament is how they often seemingly take verses completely out of context or misquote it. On the podcast it said it was on purpose and normal and then they cited a few places where an Old Testament author would misquote or tweak another Old Testament author. I have had next to no luck googling it. Not sure what term to use. It’s a subject I want to better understand. I think the podcast was Enns or maybe Mackie I don’t remember. But they were saying it was a normal and common thing then and it just seems odd to us now because of cultural differences on how to handle quotes and subjects.
