Is there a listing of well known Christians who believe in EC or OEC?

Why not turn that question the other way around? “[Is] there is a listing anywhere of prominent Christians (living or deceased) who believe in YEC?”

I rather suspect the resulting YEC list would be a lot shorter and more manageable, regardless of where the boundary line of prominence is drawn. (Who defines “prominence” in this context?)

Also, behind our desire for such lists, a cognitive bias can lurk: a list of “them” or a list of “us”.

True, very true. Thanks for the reminder.

I would also add that since ECs in largely YEC churches can feel isolated and alone (or like a secret heretic) it is helpful to know that one is not alone. It is encouraging to know that one can take both the Bible and science seriously, especially in the time immediately after one turns to the ‘dark side’.

The list of such prominent biologists would be yet shorter. For prominent read Ph.D. from an Oxbridge, Ivy League (like Miller’s Brown) level institution.
