Introductions Thread (Come say hi.)

Nice to see family members participating here! I had noticed the shared name but didn’t put two and two together.

I don’t have a child yet they’re so lovely, pure, curious and playful. Just wanted to see people very same opinion on homeschooling. Glad to see you guys, in future I’ll be once here when I have one. Until that time let them explore and shine! Much love

Helllo. I’m a teacher of 2-7th graders and 2-6th graders. I’m not a mom I help teach MKs.

I’ve heard about an opportunity to teach TCKs (I’m a TCK) and loved teaching my first year. This year I’m going to another country, and I don’t know yet what my homeschool community looks like yet.

Welcome to the community! It is good to have you here, and hopefully the educational forum will be helpful for you. We try to keep it free of the clutter that tends to get on the main forum. You may have a lot in common with Christy, as well as others around.
I am a retired physician, but my wife and I have volunteered and spent several weeks with TCKs with Wycliffe or their associates, and have grandkids who are currently being homeschooled, so have a special place in my heart for both communities.

Hi MsShizzle! I have three TCKs of my own and even though I homeschooled them through high school, they benefitted so much from our occasional participation in youth group events at Oaxaca Christian school which was staffed by MK teachers such as yourself. On Facebook there is a group for BioLogos Integrate, which includes many homeschooling and Christian school teachers and gets a little more action and discussion around education topics that this forum, if you are interested. Glad you found your way here though. Tag me if you have any specific questions about teaching science in Christian environments.
