Hi Mark,

If your definition of one-time acts of history is focused on events like the resurrection of Jesus and the parting of the Reed Sea, then I agree with you 100%.

I would simply add this point: biologists have identified many recurring patterns in evolution. They do not model it as a stream of one-off, sui generis events.
