Measurement of fermion spin in the different coordinate directions are incompatible measurements. This is because unlike bosons there is no zero eigenvalue for fermion spin in any direction. So a measurement of electron spin in the x direction gives either +1/2 or -1/2 and the spin in y and z directions must become a superpositions of +1/2 and -1/2.
