Judas hadn’t repeatedly and egregiously engaged in the sorts of things Vance and Bannon have, and both have been called on those repeatedly – which makes Matthew 18 pertinent.
There are bishops who cut Catholics off from Mass for strong pro-abortion activity; the other side shouldn’t get off free. The sort of U.S.A. that Vance and Bannon envision would by poor and cruel where the law is a tool of the wealthy, and that is just as bad IMO as vigorous advocacy for unlimited abortion.
