Not off hand. Do you have a scientific book that is inspired by God?
Are scientists more knowledgeable than God? NO
If I find it, I will share it.
Does it revolve around the sun.
Does all truth come from reality? YES
But scientists get their knowledge from God’s creation so you could say God is the source of their knowledge, even if they don’t acknowledge it.
Is this a different type of knowledge from God’s special revelation? Yes, but the two have to harmonize. And remember that God’s special revelation is filtered by our human, fallible interpretation of the Bible.
nice try.
Does it rotate around the sun? Is the universe expanding? Science says yes.
Not going to post anymore on this as my reply was removed.
Well durn I had a response for you. You asked about a response to the verse you posted. If you meant this one, here it is in context.
As you can plainly see the “liars” are those who “denies that Jesus is the Christ”. Correct me if I am wrong, but no one here has denied Christ. So sorry, but your use is just bad eisegesis. And accepting science != denying Christ.
Is there any other kind? ; - )
Accepting science ≠ denying Christ, too.
You’ll be back with another new topic. And we can take up this conversation there.
Yes, the really bad eisegesis.
Forgot to mention that the earth wobbles on its axis (called axial precession). So that makes at least 3 ways the earth is not fixed.
Thanks for posting. In our Bible study, we learned John was talking about the Gnosticism that was rampant in the area. We have our own versions of today with those who claim special knowledge, and see material reality as evil as opposed to a separate spiritual reality that is good. While few are actual Gnostics today, it is easy to fall into some of their belief patterns.
Don’t forget the sun rotates in the Milky Way (dragging us along with it). The motion of the Milky Way in our cluster and the motion of that cluster through the universe. No wonder I am getting dizzy.
Yah, my brane hurtz
Maybe he has a sagittal crest, like gorillas have.
Nah, maybe I’m just so folically challenged that any photo sporting that much hair on top looks like showing off. Now where’s that bald smilie
Mine would go more toward an extreme (given sufficient lack of judgement on my part) version of the 70s “white boy afro” look.
Is that like the Jewish Afro?
“Are scientists more knowledgeable than God? NO.” We agree.
But “are scientists more knowledgeable than Bible-misreading creationists?” YES.
See the difference between the two questions?
Perhaps, @Kelli, you may be confusing two separate questions.
