I enjoyed the post, especially as I have a Petoskey stone sitting on my desk here in Texas that a patient originally from Michigan gave me 20 years or so ago. It reminds me of that relationship as well as the deep time involved in its making, as well as the process and polishing needed to bring out its beauty. Here is a pic along with a few other relics given me by patients that represent my own aging process:
