The tide is beginning to turn: A new study shows that teaching evolution is becoming more common in high school, as teachers are spending more time teaching evolution and less time teaching creationism as an alternative.

Informative piece. Makes a lot of sense to me as well. Since science and technology has proliferated and catered to all age groups, information and data is in abundance. It becomes increasingly difficult for a teacher to talk about creationism backed with scientific data. However, this aspect needs a mention so that students broaden their ideas, inspect and study both cases and take an informed decision.
