Does the Bible teach the earth is flat? What are the firmaments and pillars it describes?

No, the Bible doesn’t ‘teach’ the earth is flat. It does however reflect the cosmological beliefs of the cultures it speaks about. Challenges about whether that means God lies, or whether inspiration is false are red herrings and at the very least are expecting the scriptures to be something it never claims to be. It isn’t a science book and doesn’t teach science, and it makes no sense to expect God to reveal accurate information about cosmology to a culture that wouldn’t believe it and couldn’t confirm it regardless. We could make the same argument about germ theory, quantum mechanics, etc. But it’s a pointless exercise. Let he Bible be what it is - and that’s not a science book.

Is there any mention of the bohemians in the Bible. I wonder how they would rank toward the bottom of the barrel? I could think of other more recent competitors, but let’s just leave politics to the side.
