If the title of the other thread recently started would have been “Does language really ‘change’?” there would have been little to complain about.
Does anyone reading this think languages don’t “change”? If not, then we can put this thread, the 1st for me to freely author after Moderator/Commentor Christy Hemphill made me aware of this possibility, to rest quickly.
Language changes (or languages change) and there is not a single linguist or person reading this who disagrees with that claim. I certainly don’t disagree with it.
Are we all agreed on this?
