Biden picks geneticist as science adviser, elevates position to Cabinet

Saying “science will always be at the forefront of my administration,” Biden said he is boosting the science advisor post to Cabinet level, a first in White House history.

This certainly is a refreshing change.

Saw that. And he asked Francis Collins to stay on at the NIH. So much for the big persecution of Christians we were warned about.

He is well suited to this task. He’s the director of the institute where I work, not my immediate boss, so his move will have little direct effect on me. (I used to work more directly with him back when we were a smaller outfit.)
