Authority of scripture

No, he’s just followed evidence by reason.

Faith comes before reason and warps it. Unless it’s true faith.

And yes, I have faith in reason, it’s a, the, post-Kantian axiom, but it’s coherent, warranted, justified, faith. But not true faith of course. True faith is none of those.

You talk of faith in the third person, not as something you are familiar or comfortable with. I wonder what your definition of true faith is? Certainty perhaps? Or is true faith a eureeka moment of clarity and truth?
Faith is personal inasmuch as it reflects the unerstanding and knowledge of the owner of it. It is not transferable as such. You cannot copy it blindly.
What people refer to as Blind Faith is more like blinkered faith, It relies on one element or source and ignores all others, even reality itself. Then again, I guess we could talk for hours on what constitutes reality.
There are many, some here, who doubt their vision or understanding of reality. They seem to require confirmaton from a reliable source, or at least, a consensus of more than one. If nothing else, faith requires personal certainty of what you believe or have decided. If you have no confidence in yourself then you cannot have faith.
