Why? All we’d need for biological eternal life would be bodies that don’t deteriorate over time, which is likely just a matter of genetics.
So eventually our spirits would all be used up . . . ?
If you want an energy supply, why not continuous infusion from the Holy Spirit (Who is, after all, the Lord and giver of life).
Physics Law of Conservation, Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but it can be converted to Matter. E=MC^2 means Energy and Matter are interchangeable. Energy can become Matter and Matter can become Energy, and does not disappear. Energy can be transformed from one form to another, as in an Electric Transformer. A Transformer converts electric energy to magnetic and back to electrical. Man does not have any Device that can Detect or Measure Spiritual Energy, but He can Drink The Spirits of Alcohol (LOL).
How do You know Angels are not Spiritual Energy? I indicated the presence of Balls of Light in two occasions, of course there are more occurrences. I’m just presenting what I think is possible. Are You in “The Presence of The Lord” but you don’t detect The Lord?
Sure, anything is possible in your imagination, but why would Einstein’s law apply? Why not say for this imaginary energy the law is just E = m. There is no need to include the constant of c^2. and why would the speed of light even apply?
Edit to add: I forgot, the c^2 is needed to keep the units consistent. Although what are the units of imaginary energy? Are they expressed in imaginary numbers?
John Lennon of the Beatles sang Imagine there’s no Heaven, so The Bible Witness is just Imagination. I’m just trying to Determine the Balls of Light as they were recorded present day and are Angels. Moses witnessed the Burning Bush. My assessment is Angels are of Spirit Eternal Energy.
There are many records of balls of light which are all just natural phenomenon. My aunt saw one and I am sure it wasn’t an angel (it was ball lightning).
Greetings. I am not following the physics–but just for interest’s sake, C S Lewis posited an interesting way of having a being with minimal material appearing to exist in more than one place–if they moved extremely fast, say, at the speed of light, they might appear to be in more than one place at the same time.
It reminds me of Arnold Lobel’s children’s story about “Owl At Home,” when he kept trying to be both upstairs and downstairs at the same time.
Wouldn’t they have to move faster than the speed of light for that to happen? They’d have to overtake light already in transit. Otherwise the light travelling from their first location would reach the observer before the light travelling from their second location.
Yes, that would be a problem! I agree! Though I try to give a bit of slack in thinking that my own perceptions are a bit slower, sometimes, and may seem that it’s faster!
I wasn’t serious, and I doubt Lewis was doing more than spitballing.Thanks.
