An idea given your feedback and a model:Co-presenting

I am processing all the feedback about bridge-building and avoiding debate.

But here’s something I wanted to do with a non-Christian bio professor.

For public consumption.

At Yale there is this thing called a Christian study center, part of a movement.

60-70% of the turnout for events is non-Christian faculty

What they do

They have a topic like “What does it mean to be human?”

They have a dinner with the talk

They have one presenter who is a believer, a PhD. The other may be a non-Christian but maybe not

My friend is the director. He says the faculty love it.

I thought as a former biology teacher of co-presenting with a biology professor over a meal at a neutral site.

Any feedback on the study center model? I heard what one person said about a three-person discourse and have actually done that before at my seminary to very positive effect

But this would involve secular academics in a public space

I think that would be great. I think the study center movement is great, Here is a link to info on it for those who are interested. I had the pleasure of going with Karl Johnson and his wife to Egypt earlier this year on a trip they led for Christianity Today.
