An analogy for evolution

I backed them up – I quoted Jesus and Paul!
“judge rightly” “judge all things”
For the other references, you might read two books called “Matthew” and “Luke”.

That is not quoting Scripture it is summarising at best and falsely.

We are to told to judge for ourselves

We are not told to judge for others, and we are forbidden to judge for God

Make your judgements, fine, but
KEEP THEM TO YOURSELF!

Richard

Paul’s words can be taken that way, but in context Jesus is talking about publicly made judgments, i.e. things expressed for others to hear.

That doesn’t mean they have to agree!

You are too emphatic.

Jesus stands at the door and waits. You use a bulldozer.

Richard

Jesus was speaking for God on earth, being part of the Trinity. You are not either.

Richard

Yes – and giving instructions to people, not to God.

That is not the point. You are trying to coy or emulate Jesus (God) which is forbidden. He is an example of human living but only the human element. God is still the ultimate judge, we are not to (try and) sit in that place.

Richard

It’s exactly the point – Jesus gives instructions, we are to follow them!
First you despise scripture, now you despise Jesus!

Only the human ones!

How dare you claim that i despise Jesus, that is well out of order!

But I do not go above my station. You apparently think you are equal to God.

Richard

And though He gave instructions to humans, you dare to say they weren’t “human ones”!
He certainly wasn’t giving instructions to God when He said ti judge rightly.

I just avoid your practice of deciding what of God’s words count and which don’t.

No you take it upon yourself to judge your fellow humans and justify it by your abuse of Scripture.

We are to judge for ourselves, not for God.

Richard

as it appears this has run its course, will close the topic.
