Hello,

My name is David.

I am 39 years old, a husband and dad of three children.

I have lived in the Arkansas – Louisiana – Texas area (AKA: Ark-la-tex) for most of my life.

We all currently live in Paris, Texas.

I grew up in a Pentecostal home and so consequentially the Pentecostal / Charismatic movement and experience have probably been (for both better and worse) the biggest overall influence in my life.

I currently work for the state of Texas.

I enjoy: learning, theology, history, conspiracy theories (mainly the UFO ones), museums, greek food, reruns of Star Trek (TOS and TNG mainly), playing basketball with my family, road trips, camping, garage sales, songwriting (when the mood hits me), maps, storm watching and listening to audible.

I do NOT enjoy mowing grass, sun without sunscreen, superficial conversation, flying, lawn darts, big city traffic, shopping at Walmart, did I mention mowing grass?

I am pretty introverted which means I like my alone time, but do not like being alone.

I think we all have a tendency to be forgetful so I keep this blog as a sort of record of my own thoughts and experiences that I think might be worth saving.

I am a part time graduate student studying applied psychology with a specific interest in the explanatory power of evolutionary psychology and its ramifications for faith.
