I wish you could stand back and look at the big picture. You can argue about one particular elapsed time clock all you want, but even if you are not convinced about the rationale behind its mechanism, that does not invalidate (pun not intended 
) all the rest of the daters. There are a slew of them, and, significantly, they are not interdependent!
