YECs Will Look At You Dead In The Eyes And Say Something Like This Creature Ate Mostly Plants

I apologize for the confusion. My comment was a response to the title of the thread. It refers to a photo on AiG’s website showing a T-Rex eating a watermelon. Watermelons were not domesticated until roughly 4000 years ago.

No worries. I can be slow sometimes!

So yeah, as a punishment for A&E disobedience God simply rewrote all of history and reality to add all the predators. But… if you are going to go that far… why even bother. Just have God already knowing that we would disobey and start with the real world we see now and not bother with this predator-free fantasy from the beginning. LOL That way you can blame death and evolution on the fall without any drastic magic.

Guess that works. Seems silly to me though.

I have never understood such thoughts. Strikes me as reading too much into a simple narrative about how unfair and hard the world is. Why anyone would think that sort of world (Paradise) ever could exist is beyond me.

Wow. I hunted and couldn’t find that image.
Best I could find was this–

Though I guess I shouldn’t be surprised; they claim to find dinosaurs in the Bible and have lesson plants for what the Bible says about T-Rex and other dinosaurs.

A proleptic consequence of the Fall . . . . Roman Catholics should have no trouble with that since they insist on a proleptic application of Jesus’ ‘merits’ to Mary’s birth.

You really are kidding!

If you have any scientific credibility, you cannot believe that life could exist without death or suffering. Not now, and not before the creation of man.

What would you call it?

Life.
