- Ahhh! Here’s Seely’s third paper:
- The Geographical Meaning of “Earth” and “Seas” in Genesis 1:10 by Paul H. Seely, WTJ—V59 #2—Fall 97—257.
Not when its compared against the two prophets ive mentioned…the visions of the earth given to Daniel and John.
You either claim God lied to them, or they knew the earth wasnt flat.
You are skirting all around that dilemma…it clearly falsifies the notion you present…
Finally, this also creates another problem…this forums claim that YEC is a modern doctrine started by Ellen White. If YEC are flatearthists, and flat earthism is ancient as you claim, then YEC is also ancient because its the original reading of scripture tgat correlates with apparently ancient flatearthism beliefs
You people dont carefully consider the inconsistencies of your own claims. Thats why its important to ensure thst biblocal claims are well supported across the entirety of the bible.
A good example is the trinity doctrine…we dont obtain thst from a single historical context…it spans both testaments and thousands of years of biblical writings.
You’re inventing a dilemma that doesn’t exist – you create it by forcing scripture to speak science. That’s no different than Richard Dawkins.
Says the person who just posted Pascal’s wager.
