The Genesis account has Adam assigning Biblical names, and these would be familiar to its readers; horses and donkeys, sheep and goats, leopards and lions, addex and gazelles, eagles and hawks, wolves and dogs and foxes, all received their names as used in scripture. And these were to reproduce faithfully to fill the earth, not turn into some weird ark kinds.
You call the wild animal anything you like. It was not human. Evos think we came from it. That is opposite the bible and the two cannot be true. Pick. (as if you haven’t already) Perhaps you can inform the lurkers here how your understanding allows both. So the Almighty molded some clay or dirt, made a man, and then breathed life into him planted a garden for him as well. Then He created the first female on the planet by operating on Adam who He made sleep, and took a bone from which He created the very first female. Female comes after the male! You claim the TOE agrees with this in your ‘understanding’ As Ricky Ricardo used to say ‘Lucy, you got some splainin to do’

Your go to response seems to be to try and mock God and Scripture. If I were out in the dessert I would be tickled pink to have plenty of delicious angel food. Fresh angel food no less. It would have been good for the desert rebels to be thankful God had just rescued them from intense slavery. To be thankful He remembered them and His promises to Abraham. To be thankful that He killed most of the pursuing Egyptian army for them and did amazing miracles. That He made a rock provide plenty of water for them. Etc.

Being the children of people made with His hands on a planet created by Him means we are the work of His hands.

Think about it. Since there were relatively few kinds (compared to the millions of species etc that came later) God only called the kinds into the ark. Lots of room.

He made our world the water, our sun, the plants, the weather, gravity and etc etc. We exist only because of God. He made man. We are indeed the work of His Hands.

The dimensions of the ark (so far as can be determined) kinda seem reasonable if only animals familiar to the ancient near east are boarded. No need or room for species foreign to that time or place.

Lots of room if only the original created kinds were taken. If dinos were adapted lizards or birds or whatnot, they would not be taken. Only the original kinds:)

I’m a little biased towards DNA as being the recepie for all living creatures. I was born in 1953 when DNA was found. I think “Our Father” and His angels and possibly Lucifer the fallen angel started all life. It then adjusted the DNA(appearance of evolving) to be better adapted to the environment it survives in. The creatures may have also became extinct like the DoDo bird.
What after its kind means is that the created animals that Adam originally named are the only creatures that ever existed or boarded the ark. So you do not take Genesis literally either.
Of course, in actuality there was not enough room on the ark for anywhere near global kinds, the ancient Hebrews knew nothing of penguins and kangeroos, let alone the much larger menagerie of extinct animals.
Your right, it doesn’t match your understanding and so both can’t be true. Problem being yours is not the only way to understand the Bible and your understanding isn’t The Only Way.
Why is this a problem given you keep giving us your ‘understanding’? An ‘understanding’ that is nothing new to most here.
Easy. God created the natural laws that lead to the first forms of life. He also created evolution that resulted in us. I personally think God may have guided the process as needed, but given He would know the outcome of the process before it ever began He may not have needed to. Genesis 1 doesn’t describe the process exactly, but given the original author had no conception of the process he did the best he could. I do not believe God dictated the exact words to use. So we end up with a text that tells us what God wanted us to know without describing the process in detail.

No. There needs to be no ‘appearance’ of evolving. If the kinds in Eden and man evolved a lot so what? Nothing to do with being created or not.
No nothing like that. Let’s assume millions of species existed. Maybe dinos had adapted/evolved from original kinds also. None would be taken save on of the actual original kinds. That means that all the kinds in the world could easily have fit on the ark. If God could make Adam sleep I assume that He also could make a lot of animals at least part of the time hibernate as well. So food was not a problem. Then in that time plants also grew quickly, so having some planters on the ark would go a long way as well. I can see why Noah planted a vineyard when the voyage ended though.
