The Penal Substitution theory of the atonement

EC-evolutionary creationist. Preferred term around here for what AIG calls TE-theologic evolutionist. Preferred as evolutionist puts the emphasis on evolution rather than creation, and is often used as a pejorative by some.

What we are both associating with some terms or phrases (like progressive revelation) seems to have some overlap - but probably significant differences too. I probably just need to sit back and read more of your stuff to know where all you’re coming from in all this. There’s a lot you write above that I give a hearty ‘amen’ to!

As far as Matthew 26:28, I’m confused because you said there is no mention of penal substitution on the lips of Jesus.
