Kierkegaard remarked that a species of ‘ventriloquism’ had developed; people took refuge in a depersonalized realm of ideas and doctrines rather than confronting the fact that everyone is finally accountable to himself for his life, character, and outlook.

The purpose of the first resurrection would be to warrant the claim of incarnation, of God, of purpose. It’s all one event, that if it contained divine emotional, moral intelligence, would not just be the smoking gun but the silver bullet.
