Exactly, those sinners were in the Kingdom, saved in the sense of redeemed then, in front of the religion leaders who couldn’t see that.

And I agree with you and your pastor. We just also need to be aware that no matter how clearly we think we’re stating things, we communicate things with people by more than just words and we might not even pick up on those things. God’s Word doesn’t have power because it works like a magic spell book where we just say all the right things; it’s powerful because of the Holy Spirit enabling us to live it by grace. So we need whatever dynamics the Body of Christ brings to the witness, and yes, communicators who share the gospel.
