Sexual differences and biblical roles

Blue Parakeet is mostly about hermeneutics and makes the case for women in pastoral leadership. I think you need something that more makes the case for the spiritual equality of women.

Aimee Byrd is an OPC author (she herself is complementarian in that she accepts the husband is the head of the home and only men can be pastors or elders) who has written about the failure to disciple women adequately in complementarian churches because of misogynistic attitudes masquerading as theology. I have not read her book, but I’m familiar with articles she has written (and some of the controversy she has caused) and I think it would probably be more appropriate for an audience that is that far on the spectrum.

A book that is going to be released soon that also might be good because it specifically counters the damaging effects of subordinating teachings is by Baylor history professor and Baptist pastor’s wife Allison Barr.
